Work Schedule Part-time hourly position without state benefits. Wage employees are restricted to working approximately 29 hours per week or less, not to exceed 1,500 hours annually.

This position must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Description

Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Event Coordinator will have a primary role to manage meeting and event scheduling within the Ad Astra Event Scheduler platform and a secondary role to manage facility rentals including contracts, sales inquiries and site visits. In addition, The Event Coordinator will assist with the planning and execution of college-sponsored events.
Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.



KSA's/Required Qualifications Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer using a variety of current software programs; and the ability to learn new programs quickly. Demonstrated strong customer service and organizational skills; and the ability to rapidly respond to, and prioritize, requests. Ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy even under stress in a fast-paced environment. Ability to analyze and solve problems; and to work effectively in a team environment. High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s in a related field preferred. Current experience with events planning is preferred.
