Event Lead/Banquet Server

Job Description: Wedding and Golf Outing Banquet Server/Event Lead (Part/Full Time/Seasonal)

Pine Knob Mansion, Carriage House and Golf, offers large scale Weddings, Holiday Parties and Golf Outings.

We are currently seeking staff members to fill multiple roles at our facility including hybrid positions allowing for weekday options and weekends as banquet servers/event leads. Our staff are responsible for setting up event spaces including their primary work area, food service throughout event, and general tear down of event spaces during primarily evening banquet functions with daytime opportunities available.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work directly with Event Manager to set up event spaces to client specification including tables, chairs, linens, service ware and special requests.
• Food service including passing, plated dinners, buffet’s, and ability to relay important information regarding special orders, allergies, to Event Lead/Kitchen.
• Break down of server kitchen area, dining room, and additional building spaces (Trash, glassware, mopping, sweeping, polishing etc.).
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
• Requires communication with guests while maintaining composure in a fast paced environment and general knowledge of items being served.
• As Lead you will be responsible for maintaining the event time line, working directly with the clients as needed, and general supervisor of the service staff.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand and be physically active for entirety of shift
• Constant walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift stock up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Your Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older for Lead (16 for Banquet Server)
• High school diploma or equivalent (May be in progress if under 18)
• Prior server experience preferred, but not required
• Valid Michigan Driver's License and/or Reliable Transportation

Special Skills

• Position is available as part time - full time seasonal through October, part time off season November- April, with nights/weekends required.

• Holiday needs are limited.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.50 per hour
