Job Title : Quality Engineer/ETL Tester

Location : Dallas, TX (Remote)

Duration : 6+ Months

Job Description:

• Looking for a strong onshore ETL testing professional who has hands on experience in back-end data testing along with the ETL and validation of the source and target using complex SQL queries.
• Good communication skills are required as this role involves constant interaction with project stakeholders.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline or equivalent experience with 8 + Minimum Experience.
• Hands-on experience with ETL Testing, experience in Informatica is a plus
• Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries
• Proficient with SQL for back-end database validation
• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL and/or Big Data technologies
• Experience in data warehousing
• Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka, IBM MQ and EventHub is a plus
• Any experience with Azure data integration, storage and compute technologies is a plus
• Any experience working with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab etc.) is a plus
• Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root cause utilizing tools (Jira, Rally etc.)
• Strong understanding of test automation concepts and approaches.
• Experience working with or on remote teams
• Experience in test environment and test data management
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, to challenge the norm

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively work in a fast-paced environment utilizing the agile methodology.
• Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for one or more test plans, including component, assembly, product, performance, user acceptance and technical architecture tests.
• Perform the back-end testing along with the ETL and validate the source and target using the complex SQL queries.
• Follow the defined testing standards and procedures for testing projects
• Execute test scripts and validate product fixes
• Record problems and issues in accordance with the project's problem and issue management plan.
• Coordinate test script reviews with stakeholders as appropriate.
• Adhere to requirement review, defect writing & test script writing guidelines.
• Ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis sessions.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with project team
