We are currently looking for an Equity Loan Processor to join our Mortgage Operations team. In this position, you will be responsible for processing equity loan products and performing a variety of loan documentation duties to include disbursements on complex loan packages and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Working with representatives from all service delivery channels to meet Credit Union members’ financial needs in a professional, efficient, and knowledgeable manner. Process and evaluate equity loan requests from all service delivery channels and provide quality, value-added financial service to our membership.

What you'll do:

  • Performs reviews on new equity loan applications in Loans PQ to ensure that early disclosures are prepared and sent to applicants according to federal regulation guidelines.
  • Documents loan applications as necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Maintains and develops a strong working relationships with Home Equity Specialists, Underwriters, Third Party Vendors, and Service Delivery staff by:
    • Requesting necessary documentation from third party vendors to process and complete a loan file in a timely manner (i.e. flood certification, title search and property valuations)
    • Identifying and resolving inconsistencies with provided data,
    • By preparing and delivering early disclosures in a timely manner when requested by staff.
  • Perform review on all completed equity loan files prior to closing and ensuring other credit information is correct when issuing multiple checks for debt consolidations.
  • Reviews, corrects and validates HMDA LAR information for accuracy and completeness on applicable loan applications to ensure compliance.
  • Completes Equity daily log, with all data concerning equity loan products for metric information and department production numbers.
  • Creates files and electronically transfers documents from LoansPQ into Nautilus.
  • Reviews equity loan reports on a daily basis to ensure compliance.

What you'll do:

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience with Title Company functions, real estate, and loan processing.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to work with multiple levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to derive innovative strategies and implement them in a timely, effective manner.
  • Must have working knowledge of all regulations and keep up to date on changes.
  • Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
  • Experienced in MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and all internal systems as affiliated with the department.
