Equipment Operator - UC Medical Center

Under general supervision from the Grounds Supervisor or other administrative superior, operates motorized equipment to handle trash, spread salt, plow snow, mow grass, clean streets, move furniture and perform other highway maintenance operations. Help visitors, patents, & employees with minor mechanical repairs, changing flat tires, jump starting, unlocking locked vehicles with key’s locked inside, maintains traffic flow and provides information at the hospital entrances. Drives 15/9 passenger vans’ for patients/visitors/associates around the medical center complex, and other areas as directed. Responsible for maintaining logs and equipment, relative to day-to-day operations. etc.

Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
Education: High school diploma or GED.
License and Certification: Driver's License

Years of Experience: 3 months' experience
Required Skills and Knowledge: Must have experience operating motorized equipment and training in safety practices associated with operation of heavy equipment; must be able to lift 60-100 pounds and be able to demonstrate full range of motion for bending, stooping, and lifting; must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
