Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Responsibilities

The incumbent is involved in instructing students, training horses, providing services such as blanketing, turn-outs, lungeing, feeding supplements. Incumbent is responsible to maintain the lesson horses in good condition as defined by management, ready and schooled for lessons to ensure the safety of students. Incumbent is responsible for riding and training lesson horses for the specific discipline incumbent represents. Incumbent is responsible for maintaining all lesson and trail programs to include students of all ages. Incumbent is responsible for increasing lesson program participation, will assist in the lease and/or purchase of horses for students. Incumbent will provide a variety of training options for horse owners to include individual rides, half-training, and full-training. Incumbent will provide additional educational opportunities for students including but not limited to horse anatomy, feeding, tacking, and grooming. Incumbent will assist in keeping the workplace clean and orderly. Will Provide Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of lessons and training. Takes action to solve problems quickly.

    EVALUATIONS:

    Qualifications

    Must have prior experience working with students, teaching lessons, guiding trail rides, etc. Able to communicate effectively and clearly to students using accurate equestrian language. Strong skills in organization, customer service, and safety. Experience implementing structured lesson plans. Knowledge of training and its implementation across different disciplines. Strong leadership skills, self starter, dependable, and enthusiastic positive approach. Able to respect and work with a variety of instructors/trainers and employees. Resumes and references preferred.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age.
