The University of Miami Hospital (UTower) has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Services Technician in the Environmental Services Department. The individual in this role will clean and maintain cleanliness in assigned patient care ancillary areas within the hospital and hospital properties according to the standards of service, including hard surface floor and carpet care. Responsible for the removal of biomedical waste, regular waste, and soiled linen from the hospital and the moving of equipment and office furniture.

Follows established cleaning methods and procedures in performing cleaning duties. Uses only cleaning supplies and chemicals that have been approved by management. Adheres to guidelines for fire and general safety, waste disposal, dress code, and patient information. Reports areas in need of special cleaning or repairs to appropriate supervisor. Assists in the maintenance of equipment and organization of supplies. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
