This position is responsible for supporting the assessment and implementation of Environmental Services (EVS) operational improvement and expense management solutions for our Johnston-Willis Hospital, Richmond facility. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in EVS standardization and utilization, general EVS hospital programs, technology utilization, and operations. This position is responsible for building strategic alliances with HCA Corporate, Division, and Hospital Executive Staff, and EVS Department Directors as it relates to successfully executing an EVS improvement plan.

What you will do in this role:

  • Demonstrates the ability to assist in providing leadership in the area of EVS operations and expense
  • management that contribute to HCA's Corporate, Division and facility overall strategic plans as it relates to improving EVS operations and expense management
  • Demonstrates the ability to assist in developing and achieving established targets, e.g., SKU reduction, expense reduction, improving operations and metrics related to the patient experience
  • Interacts and develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders to better understand needs and challenges.
  • Coordinates the implementation and delivery of customer solutions that includes improvement of patient satisfaction results as it relates to EVS
  • Assists facility EVS leadership with productivity assessments to meet established EVS labor savings goals.
  • Analyze spend, savings, compliance, and rebate data and provide expertise to assist EVS facility directors to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize supply purchasing and reduce expense.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years in a healthcare environmental service operations and leadership role experience required. Proven track record in program development and execution.
  • Extensive knowledge of floor care maintenance.
  • Basic excel, word and power point presentation skills required. Proficiency with excel and spreadsheet data compilation, pivot tables, and analytical process is highly preferred
