Boeing is looking for forward thinking Entry Level Wire Design Technologist and Technicians to help us define the future of commercial aerospace with innovative ideas that advance or culture of safety and quality that our customers, the flying public, expect to work in our Everett, Renton and Tukwila, WA locations.

Assists in the development and maintenance of Wire Harness assemblies and details for our diverse portfolio of advanced Commercial Aircraft. This includes electrical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards. Uses basic design tools to prepare documentation and incorporates basic design changes. Supports systems design by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and completing assigned tasks. Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities. Works under close supervision of a lead engineer and an experienced mentor to enhance both your technical learning and career growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards.
  • Interprets and develops design requirements based on technical data.
  • Selects components, prepares design layouts, modifies existing designs and integrates system elements to satisfy customer and productivity requirements.
  • Validates engineering system design and functionality.
  • Ensures compliance with requirements, standards and applicable regulatory authority and maintains the integrity of the product.
  • Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Associate's Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience
  • Experience working in a diverse team environment
  • Experience in a role that required strong oral and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using more than one of the following Tools - CADDS, MAPPER, TOOLBOX, WIRS, Equipment Manager, and Capital Logic

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate or Technicians degree) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years' related work experience).
