STAFF ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a highly detailed Staff Accountant. This role reports to the Director – Supply Chain Accounting and will work closely with various members of the Finance team, including the Treasury and Facilities teams. The ideal candidate would work in Atlanta Metro Area, but could work in a remote/virtual environment. The position is primarily responsible for performing accounting for various costs, including analyzing and ensuring the accuracy of the costs in connection with the Company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This role requires interaction with the Company’s operating teams to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of each branch’s monthly results in compliance with contractual arrangements. The position is also responsible for daily and monthly Treasury reporting and will work closely with the Treasury team.

Your Opportunity:
- Assists the Director – Supply Chain Accounting with the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial information
- Calculates, compiles, and analyzes monthly occupancy expenses
- Prepares select journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyzes financial information to evaluate reasonableness and accuracy
- Assists the Treasury function with daily and monthly responsibilities
- Compiles and analyzes reports regarding cash transactions and balances
- Prepares daily summaries of cash transactions
- Supports monthly preparation of reports for the Company’s borrowing arrangements
- Provides support to the accounting and operating teams
- Brings a customer service focus in support of field operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 2+ years in a corporate accounting function
Preferred Skills:
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of other MS Office products
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Treats people with respect, inspires trust of others, maintains confidentiality of information, and operates with the highest level of integrity
- Customer service orientation
- Oral and written communication skills
