Job Description
  • Acts as the first point of contact for patients and visitors by providing symptom screening upon entrance to an Advocate Aurora Health location. Team members in this role will be knowledgeable in our Safe Care Promise and Visitor policy guidelines. Responsible for the smooth flow of patients, visitors through designated entrances of AAH locations. This position will greet, ask structured health questions and take temperatures of all patient and visitors entering the facility. All aspects of the role should be achieved through continuous demonstration of Advocate Aurora's Purpose and Values. Must be committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Position will be based at designated entrances to the hospital.
  • Appropriately acknowledge or greet each person entering the building at assigned entrance.
  • Displays courteous, helpful behavior to patients, visitors, medical personnel, and team members.
  • Follows protocol for screening patients and visitors as they enter the medical facility.
  • Adheres to all patient, visitor and team member health screening policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintains orderly storage of supplies and keeps table area neat, clean and organized.
  • Oversee daily upkeep and cleanliness of screening areas.
  • Abides by and complies with all medical center and department policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and projects as requested by leadership.
  • Demonstrates service excellence towards all visitors and staff.
  • Adheres to hospital and screener dress code.
Scheduled Hours

Week 1:

Sunday: 7:45am - 6:15pm, Tuesday: 2pm - 8pm, Thursday and Friday: 12pm - 4pm

Week 2:

Monday and Tuesday: 12pm - 4pm, Friday: 2pm - 8pm, Saturday: 7:45am - 6:15pm


Includes every other weekend and a holiday rotation.

Licenses & Certifications

None Required.

Degrees

High School Graduate (or equivalent knowledge).

Required Functional Experience

Typically requires 1 year of experience in health care.
