Job Description & Qualifications
Job Summary
Engages, collaborates, and partners with business and technology leaders to ensure the understanding, utilization, and governance of company enterprise data. Provides strategic and architectural leadership and champions the use of technology to drive efficient and effective enterprise data management processes.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Designs enterprise data strategies to drive the adoption of next generation data platforms. Works closely with business and technology partners to develop enterprise data roadmaps and define implementation phases.
- Leads the data architecture and design of shared enterprise technology solutions. Defines architectures to unify interconnected systems and disparate data types to support analytics.
- Defines data standards for next generation data platforms, data governance frameworks for data ownership and quality processes, and data integration reference architectures and recommended tools.
- Guides the organization towards enterprise technology adoption. Partners with business partners and delivery teams to develop analytics roadmaps and define the implementation of data strategies.
- Outlines documentation and methods to disseminate metadata with business and technology partners. Develops communication materials and plans for socializing data architecture concepts and solutions to the business.
- Mentors data architects on data design and provides guidance and feedback to various information technology departments on issues related to data management processes.
- Evaluates emerging data architecture technology concepts, methods, and trends. Determines and recommends new technology needs for the organization.
- Creates and implements data strategies needed to support regulatory requirements.
Nature and Scope
- Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.
- May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.

Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise data architecture in large, enterprise companies.
- Experience with cloud technologies and modern analytic data landscapes, including data hubs, lakes, and warehouses.
- Demonstrated expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling.
- Strong expertise of Oracle Business Systems , SQL and NoSQL data stores.
- Extensive experience with business systems integration ( B2B, C2B ).
- Expertise with M&A Integrations .
- Clear understanding of security and compliance controls required to protect business systems and data.
- Master’s degree in information systems or a related field.
