English teacher – Metro Schools College Prep

DESCRIPTION: Metro Schools College Prep is a 7-12 public charter school located in Minneapolis. We are looking for a passionate and innovative English teacher with to work alongside our EL department. Our ideal candidate will have the following proficiencies:

• MN teaching license in English
• Capability to individualize and differentiate education
• Strong commitment to ensure the academic performance of each student
• Experience in literacy framework – Readers’ and Writers’ Workshop
• Superior technology skills that can be applied to individualized learning
• Skills for setting, monitoring and meeting individual and school-wide goals
• Application of successful strategies for parent engagement
• Excellent team and individual communication skills
• Proven experience with a diverse student body

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
