ResponsibilitiesThis position will provide expert supplemental instruction and assessment for students. As a professional with advanced preparation and experience, this position is responsible for the increased performance of all students. Specifically, the person in this position will create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities in the core content areas and will work collaboratively with the primary general funded classroom teacher, who is the teacher of record, other interventionists, and parents. Specifically, this person will:
  • Support, supplement and extend classroom teaching, and work collaboratively to implement a quality intervention program that is research-based and meets the needs of at-risk students.
  • Modify instruction to accommodate students’ unique learning styles
  • Perform ongoing, frequent and specific assessments to gauge student learning.
Requirements
  • Must hold a valid teacher license in the subject and/or grade level for the state in which you are applying
  • Candidates with experience working with at-risk students preferred
