CMTS LLC., is currently seeking an Engineering Tech II, Tier I to join our team!!!
Overview:
Engineering Technician II will support the administration of Capital Improvement Project contracts through processing and routing payments, submittals, RFI and other construction related documents under the guidance of a Construction Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to resolve field issues and project claims
- Take and distribute meeting minutes for preconstruction and weekly progress meetings
- Manage and track project documents
- Conduct quantity takeoffs during design reviews
- Communicate effectively with inspection, contractors and other team members from numerous divisions and bureaus
- Assist the development of project closeout reports and cost analysis
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of construction management and office procedures
- Skill in performing routine engineering calculations
- Detailed oriented
- Experience reading and interpreting plans
- Excellent computer skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of Federal documentation is a plus
- Experience with construction management/project management software a plus
Required Education:
Graduation from high school, trade school or vocational school, or G.E.D. equivalent, supplemented by courses in engineering technology; and two (2) years of progressively responsible engineering technician experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
