Engineering Manager, Continuous Integration

The Engineering Productivity team is a diverse group of experienced engineers who build products, tools and systems enabling thousands of Pinterest engineers to be productive across the development lifecycle (code, build, deploy). Our vision is to build a platform that inspires developers to do their best work, and our mission is to provide a fast and safe path from prototype to production without worrying about the underlying infrastructure. We believe in contributing to open source work and collaboration as much as possible.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a diverse team focused on providing CI platform for all of engineering
• Drive mission control meetings; influence and motivate without authority and get the best out of directs, peers, and management (good interpersonal skills are critical)
• Good intra & inter-team communication around timelines, progress, and priorities; managing local versus global priorities for team
• Coach and guide professional and technical development of team members; Develop their careers and enable the team to do their best work
• Actively run day-to-day operations that include constant prioritization, communication with stakeholders, creating a shared understanding on the “what” and “why” so the team can effectively deliver on the “how”
• Continuously improve team health & safety by creating a safe, transparent and inclusive environment; ensuring everyone’s voice is heard while driving clear accountability
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Product Manager to continuously deliver high quality, customer-focused solutions
• Build partnerships with various teams (our customers) by understanding their use-cases and pain points; champion key efforts across teams
• Opportunity to create an impact on key open source systems such as Jenkins (CI), Buildkite (CI), Artifactory

• Enjoy occasional hands-on work that may include collaborating on design documents, reviewing code, managing team processes
