As a Shift Equipment Technician or Engineer in Fab 4 MDE Dry Etch, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, repairing, and improving all assigned Dry Etch toolsets. You will monitor tool performance through various software applications and systems, schedule and perform preventative maintenance, use your mechanical and electronic skills to troubleshoot and repair down equipment, and provide thorough documentation for all work performed.
Responsibilities:
- You will work closely with the Dry Etch Equipment Owners in support of equipment installs, hardware upgrades, and development projects, while maintaining and working on your own projects for area and tool improvement.
- You will create and improve equipment maintenance procedures, checklists, and troubleshooting BKMs.
- You will work to increase tool uptime through systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting, quality workmanship, and routine review of equipment documentation.
- You will work to reduce operating expenses, and to improve product quality related to tool deficiencies.
- You will participate in area TPM and 6S programs.
- Additionally, you will coordinate with Process Engineering and Operations teams to respond to production issues and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Dry Etch equipment experience on 300mm toolsets. – Preferred
- Previous experience within a fully-automated semiconductor manufacturing environment - Preferred
- A strong technical aptitude, with the ability to use schematics and test equipment to troubleshoot pneumatic, RF, vacuum, gas delivery, mechanical, and electronic systems down to the component level.
- Experience with process control charts.
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Good time-management and multi-tasking skills.
- A high level of self-motivation, and the proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, environment.
- Good computer knowledge that can be applied to documentation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Shift flexibility, which includes the ability to work a 12hr shift, periodic day shift / night shift rotations, weekends and holidays. - Required
Education:
- AAS in Electronics, BS in Electronics Engineering Technology, equivalent military experience, or meets Micron internal requirements for Technician 1.
- BS Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, or meets Micron internal requirements for Engineer 1.
