Core Responsibilities
- Writes and executes tests to validate products and software applications.
- Contributes to the development of Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies. Identifies viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality.
- Collaborates with product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements.
- Reviews and verifies requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification.
- Ensures proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts. Participates in design, code and functional product reviews.
- Works with other Quality Assurance Engineers or Software Engineers to identify, reproduce and document bugs or defects.
- Assists in providing guidance and mentorship for junior-level Quality Assurance Engineers. Provides technical leadership and consultation with regards to practices, procedures and techniques.
- Supports trials of new infrastructure designs/services.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Build test cases to verify that Comcast’s mobile entertainment apps meet product requirements and customer needs
- Collaborate with the development team during the early testing cycle to become more familiar with what is being implemented and how, as well as review use cases together
- Work with the automation team to increase automated test coverage in an effort to avoid having to run regression scripts repeatedly
- Investigate new tools and technologies to make testing efforts faster and more effective
- Analyze and help triage defects raised by customers, both internal and external
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

- Relevant testing experience on iOS, tvOS, and Android native client applications
- Experience with large-scale consumer-based application testing with millions of daily users
- Intimate familiarity with REST web services – response codes, request types, headers, etc.
- Ability to capture and analyze device/crash logs on both platforms
- Effective bug reporting including prioritization, steps to reproduce, and repeatability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Multi-tasking – need to be able to handle multiple ongoing releases across more than one platform at any given time
- Deep understanding of differences in platform behaviors, OS versions, and device type considerations during testing
