ENDO-SURGICAL TECH (Monticello)

Join our Monticello Surgical Services Team!!! This position works 64 hours in a two week pay period, from 6:30am-4:30pm (regularly scheduled 8 hour shifts); flexed start and end times dependent on case load; weeknight, weekend, and holiday call in rotation with approximately 6 other staff members.

JOB SUMMARY:
Surgical technologists are allied health professionals, who are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical technologists work under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Surgical technician experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess demonstrated communication skills, be team minded, able to read and communicate effectively in English, strong written and verbal skills and possess strong interpersonal human relations skills.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, organizational, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed.
• Respond onsite within 30 minutes when “on call”.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
