Employee Tax Accountant primary duties:
- Ensure the organization’s compliance with payroll tax reporting-withholding and unemployment
- Registration of new entity jurisdiction tax authorizations
- Research and interpret federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and resolve tax issues
- Respond to auditing and regulatory inquiries
- Ensure timely remittances are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
- Partners with Accounting to ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts
- Other duties as assigned
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Planning and organization – an ability to plan and manage multiple projects
- Problem analysis and problem resolution with an understanding of deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High performance with being a strong team player
- Associate degree plus two years of payroll tax experience preferred
- College degree
- CPP or FPC certification
- Fluent in English and Spanish
