Job Description

We are searching for an Employee Relations Consultant— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide direction and guidance to all levels by analyzing, recommending, assisting in the development of and administering various Human Resources programs, plans, and policies and procedures consistently. You will advise both leadership and staff regarding the resolution of various issues/concerns and coordinating a variety of activities related to fair employment practices, laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to questions ranging from simple to complex within 24 hours of initial inquiry regarding employment issues and application of policies
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with employees or leadership, obtaining pertinent information, determining the applicability of policies and procedures to the issue at hand, recommending an action plan and providing follow-up as necessary
  • Determine and provide the appropriate response to all Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) claims 100% of the time and before the established TWC deadline
  • Provide statistical information to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Department of Labor and other regulatory agencies according to established guidelines 100% of the time
  • Collect data from human resources information systems for biannual reporting monthly
Qualifications
  • An Associate's Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • A Juris Doctor degree (JD) will substitute for the experience requirement
  • 3+ years of employee relations experience, preferred
