The Opportunity at Komodo Health

The Healthcare Solutions (HCS) business unit actively tests new markets and products, charting new growth opportunities for Komodo. The mission of the Emerging Market Strategist is to determine the long-term value of nascent market opportunities for Komodo and help chart it's path to scale.

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have…

  • Synthesized insights from sales discussions with prospective buyers in HCS new market segments, including customer needs, data quality expectations, key value drivers, and potential revenue driving features. Acted as a key communicator of market insights & feedback to a wide variety of stakeholders in other functions across Komodo.
  • Created and maintained go to market strategy documentation for each new segment. Sales playbooks would include value proposition, positioning statements, standard offerings, pricing, sales process, target buyers, etc.
  • Found product-market-fit for nascent markets through testing and iterating offerings with HCS sales team by first building strong value hypothesis. Supported definition of both business model and MVP for customer buy-in. Continued to influenced prioritized features in longer term roadmap based on revenue opportunities.

Key Collaborations:

  • Within new market segments, identify key use cases to best highlight strength of Komodo data, capabilities, platform, and products. Help develop requirements for Solution Engineer to build prototypes/demos to increase strength of pitch, improving customer buy-in through sales process.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing on secondary research to determine user needs, product or messaging feedback, or competitive landscape analysis. This is in addition to sharing out primary research from synthesized sales discussions.
  • Build quarterly insights & plan revenue targets for new markets with RevOps & HCS Sales Strategist.
  • Support Account Strategy Planning with Sales and Account Managers who support each market focus. While aligning support Customer Success support model.

What you bring to Komodo:

  • Experience working in healthcare data analytics within a consultancy, agency, payor, or CRO. Or, have subject matter expertise in specific health analytics use case(s), such as non-personal promotion campaigns (NPP), RWE and HEOR studies.
  • Experience in business development and/or strategic partnerships within healthcare technology space to build new revenue channels.
  • Working smart across dual mindsets: (A) test & learn: building insight, iterating, looking for market signal (B) grow & scale: standing up operations, processes to support standard processes and scale.
  • Strong market synthesis: Define customer value through primary & secondary research (pre & post product-market-fit).
  • Needed prior professional client-facing experience to participate in sales discussions & CX training and implementations.
  • Comfort building and scaling operational processes to support new business lines mature.
  • Product thinking: define requirements for early prototyping for experiments and early pitches in new markets; supporting product define MVP & input to roadmap as market segment matures.
  • Strong collaboration and communication cross-functionally (sales, product, engineering, customer success, marketing, operations).
