You will serve as a Electronics Technician in the NAVCOMTELSTRATCOMMU DET TRAVIS, NAVCOMTELSTRATCOMMU OKC of NAVCOMTELSTA SAN DIEGO TACAMO.
Responsibilities
- You will funtion as the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Configuration Manager, and Communication, Equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- You will provide or arrange on-site corrective actions, engineering investigations to evaluate reliability, maintainability, availability and logistical support of system/equipment as tasked.
- You will provide continuity and technical expertise on established communications equipment,
- You will be responsible for on-going technical analysis of existing communications equipment to ensure maximum capability is being achieved with present equipment.
- You will ensure inquiries/problems concerning equipment and services are expeditiously resolved.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require occasional travel (10% or less) from normal duty station
- You will be required to complete annual (re-occurring) one-time and specific trainig via various methods of instruction/delivery.
- Using two or more phases of communications planning, scheduling, acquisition, installation, integration, modification, and testing of Protected SATCOM ;
- Interpreting and analyzing of design diagrams, and schematics in the maintenance and troubleshooting of SATCOM and non-SATCOM communications equipment ;
- Evaluating and diagnosing faults in operational electronic communications equipment;
- Operating hardware with telecommunication systems, such as Military Strategic Tactical Relay (MILSTAR), Family of Advanced Beyond Line of Site Terminal (FAB-T), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) or similar systems .
