Electronic Technician I (1595)

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform electronics tests and measurements of electronic devices. Have an good understanding of building computers, operating systems, and computer peripherals. Build and change over computers multiple times during the day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
• Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, build and setup computers, and document all pertinent data
• Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
• Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Works according to detailed instructions that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment
• Good understanding for computers, hardware and software, spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, network analyzers, EMI receivers, power meters)
• Working knowledge of basic safety practices

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• HS Diploma or GED. Technical Certification, AA or AS in Electronics/Electrical preferred.
• 0-2 Years of experience testing IT/technical products

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
