Job Summary:

As an EMR Specialist, you'll have a chance to immediately impact the growth of the Quality Assurance team. This role is most ideal for a nurse seeking to transfer into an administrative position, however, we are open to exploring candidates with alternative backgrounds.
Salary for this role is dependent upon experience and active credentials.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Respond to e-mail and telephone support requests from staff
· Meets with users to resolve, if possible, or to acquire details of the issue to conduct further analysis and to work with Software Vendor to achieve resolution
· Add, delete, or edit new forms as need is determined by key agency clinical staff
· Use deductive problem-solving skills to investigate and solve a broad range of software issues
· Analyze each support request for the root cause, determine if the issue could be prevented by changes in the software and outline change recommendations
· Act as a backup liaison between agency EMR users and Software Vendor
· Help test fixes provided by Software Vendor and monitor utility
· Analyze and make recommendations regarding application enhancements, user support needs, and improving customer satisfaction
· Set up all new employees in EMR system
· Provides effective training for all new employees to maximize the use of EMR software
· Develop new Software training materials for staff
· Facilitate Software updates and testing new releases of software products
· Develop a working relationship with current Software Technical Support Team (Director of Finance and QA Director)
· Complete chart checks for completeness of records
· Provides ad hoc reporting as needed and requested by management
· Sends retro-views to adjudicate claims
· Comply with all requests for medical records in accordance with all completed release of information forms
Qualifications:
· Associates Degree
· RN or LPN, with RN, preferred
· Excellent technical support or customer service skills
· Excellent computer and networking troubleshooting skills
· Ability to anticipate areas of difficulty and/or questions and quickly adapt training to meet the needs of staff
· Interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to effectively communicate technical information in non-technical terms
· Able to work independently and efficiently meet deadlines
· Able to respond promptly and professionally to email, phone calls, and other electronic communications
· Self-motivated, detail-orientated, and organized
· Ability to cultivate positive working relationships with software vendors(s) and coworkers
· Advanced knowledge of Internet Explorer and web-based applications
· Ability to insure software compliance accrediting bodies and local, state, and federal standards guidelines (e.g. HIPPA/42CFR, part 2)

Pay: $19.50 - $30.00 per hour
