- Perform complex mechanical and electrical assembly from drawings or work instructions, adhering to production schedule
- Perform testing of assembled units to ensure quality and operability
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical assemblies, and wiring
- Build assemblies, which may involve the following activities: drilling, crimping, screwing, deburring, tapping, and/or brazing
- Perform complex electrical wiring by means such as soldering
- Assist in creation on work instruction for assembly and testing processes
- Work with R&D engineering to test new components
- Responsible for following ESAB standard practices for product documentation
- Maintain and promote a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures complying with codes, legal regulations, and policies
- Support and follow quality processes and standards
- Look up parts and BOMs in the MRP system
- Other duties as assigned
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Ability to perform soldering, brazing, drilling and crimping
- Familiarity with assembly and measuring tools required
- Ability to read mechanical and/or electrical drawing specifications and build assemblies based upon those specifications
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret advanced instructions
- Good computer skills and proficient in MS Office Word and Excel
- Understanding of electronic-based document management system
- Familiarity with MRP system operation and product bill of material (BOM) structure
- 2 – 5 years relevant complex electro/mechanical assembly experience
- <10% travel to Denton, Texas facility for training and coordination with manufacturing team
