ELECTRICIAN II

Description:

The Electrician II is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and circuits, principally but not limited to power distribution, motor control centers, and backup emergency switch gear. Must also perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Electrical and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.The Electrician II may be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines. This position may require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities. Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local and CMS codes and regulations. Must obtain the OSHA 10 hour certification within 90 days. 4 years? experience in an acute healthcare setting is acceptable in lieu of HSD/GED. 5 Years experience as an Electrician is required. 3 Years Hospital Maintenance is preferred. 1 Year High- rise Electrical system experience is preferred. 1 Year Mechanical system experience is preferred. Technical/Trade School/Licensure: Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent (8 years Electrician experience encompassing a range of electrical work and skills sets) is required. Performs other duties as assigned.
