Electrical Technician

An Electrical Technician at Tulsa World must be able to conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary as dictated by manufacturer designated intervals. They must have the ability and knowledge to repair and/or replace electrical boards and devices and use various computers to trouble shoot and repair electrical equipment and components in the production environment. They should be able to use various tools such as OHM meter.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Trouble-shoot and repair or replace electric motors and electronic circuit boards and wiring and components.
Trouble-shoot AC/DC drives.
Diagnosing electrical and technical failures during heavy oriented production periods
Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on machinery.
Be able to perform within guidelines of (NEC) National Electrical Code.
Read diagrams,blueprints and schematics
Be able to plan out wiring and installation of electrical apparatus in buildings.
On-site, regular and reliable attendance is required being on time for work a mustSafely drive to various locations

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Know the lock-out tag-out procedures
Know arc-flash procedures
Ability to follow all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance standards.
Be able to work well with employees across various departments.
Must be able to lift up to 60lbs occasionally
Must be able to work nights and weekends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Have a minimum of two years electrical experience. Must have a valid Driver License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
