Job Description

Description:Function To assemble complex wire harnesses and electrical, electronic, and/or electro-mechanical units, systems and installations on the initial production, or modified production stage. Duties Works from such preliminary information as wiring diagrams, preplanning specifications, engineering drawings and verbal information to assemble a variety of complex wire harnesses and electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical units, systems and installations. Studies the preliminary information to become acquainted with design and construction of the item to determine when necessary, the most feasible routing and grouping of wires; correct wire lengths, the merits of grouping and assembling wire runs as separate wire harness assembles, and the most practical method and sequence of fabricating harnesses, assembles and installations. Performs installations of various types of fasteners and inserts, using hand tools, hand held power tools, specialized tooling, torque wrenches etc. per proven assembly practices. Assembles and builds up units of all degrees of complexity. Notes difficulties of discrepancies encountered with specifications, manufacturing process plans, drawings, schematics, and like technical data used and recommends measures to correct these conditions, and/or to facilitate production. Makes repairs, replacements and alterations as directed, in accordance with engineering and/or Quality Control requirements on work performed by self or other employees when such operations entail work specified above. Instructs and directs lower rated employees assigned to work with incumbent in the performance of the above duties. Trains other employees as appropriate on various assembly and operations techniques. Advises supervisor or higher graded employees of any difficulties encountered with tools, fixtures, equipment, materials, parts, written direction and/or sequence of operations. Demonstrates Full Spectrum Leadership competencies in interactions with all employees, customers, contractors, etc, including, but not limited to: social acumen, communicate with positive impact, and develop enduring relationships. Basic Qualifications:
To be qualified to interview for this role, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

1 - Basic mechanical skills
2 - Able to read wiring diagrams
3 - Electrical mechanical experience
4 - Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
5 - Must work well on a team and follow written and verbal directions
