Job Description

Job Summary

The Electrical Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for the oversight, and coordination of all incoming bids, market trends, and overall project management to bids that are won by the company. Preparation of all estimation of needed materials, project documentation, record keeping, and communication with GC’s and installers that are involved in the projects is required.

They will work alongside upper management to detect new opportunities in the market, and deliver a timely bid on upcoming projects that the company should be involved in. The ability to assess, implement and structure all plans to keep projects on time is an essential attribute to a successful candidate.

Essential Functions

· Collect data to estimate costs for current or future projects.

· Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, construction foremen and General contractors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

· Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.

· Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

· Supervise and oversee all field activities and employees ensuring company standards across all services provided.

· Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

· Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.

· Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.

· Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.

· Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.

· Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations.

· Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations.

Travel

10% travel is expected for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
