Job Description
Overview:Position: EKG / Equipment Tech / Respiratory TherapyHours/Shift: Full Time/Days Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association
Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge, skills, and proficiency in Cardiovascular Diagnostics and ability to support all areas of Respiratory Care. Ability to ensure standards met are reflective department/organizational policies (including, but not limited to specialty areas and age specific populations), and in accordance to the standards set forth by governing bodies of Respiratory Care.Preferences:
  • Education: College Degree or advanced education background preferred
  • Certification: Certified Cardiovascular Technician (CCT) desired; ACLS/PALS desired
  • Experience: One (1) year experience direct experience with cardiovascular diagnostics.
  • Experience in adult/pediatric care in an acute care setting desired.
Key Responsibilities:The purpose of the EKG/Equipment Technician position is to perform diagnostic testing on patients through use of age appropriate principles of growth and development. Tests are performed for patients pediatric (1 year of age) through geriatric and include, but not limited to EKG and other cardiovascular related testing. The EKG/Equipment Tech provides support and cooperation with management, department staff, and other health care teams as evidenced by working well with authority, other health care professionals and ancillary departments.
