Essential Functions and Objectives:
This substitute faculty member will perform instructional duties and related activities in accordance with the philosophies, policies, and procedures of Emily Griffith Technical College. Because this is a hybrid program (minimum of 51% classroom and remainder online), the Pharmacy Technician substitute must be skilled in providing online instruction in order to ensure success for students
Education Requirements:
Atleast 4,000 hours non-teaching occupational experience to be credentialed in Career & Technical Education (CTE

Essential Functions and Objectives:
This substitute faculty member will perform instructional duties and related activities in accordance with the philosophies, policies, and procedures of Emily Griffith Technical College. - Teach assigned courses with demonstrated competency, multiple instructional delivery methods, and a focus on effective assessment to meet course level outcomes and program outcomes that align with accreditation requirements.
- Abide by FERPA guidelines in professional communications at all times.
- Demonstrate teaching skills and knowledge to perform a variety of functions in the area of Pharmacy Technician training.

- Use culturally competent instruction methods while also teaching students to provide
- Maintain discipline and enforce rules of conduct and behavior in accordance with school policy.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and overall performance using appropriate software systems used by the institution.
- Maintain appropriate inventory for all program equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Supervise and maintain the cleanliness of the classroom/lab.
- Oversee and maintain the safety of the students and working environment.
- Comply with regulations and standards established by EGTC and COE to include completion of Industry Visits, Employer Verification forms, and Advisory Committee requirements by the assigned deadlines.
- Attend and participate in faculty, departmental, and other professional meetings.
- Participate in professional development activities to remain current with industry practices and advancements.
- Establish annual goals and actively participate in the instructional appraisal process.
- Respond to all EGTC email and phone communications within 48 hours of receipt.
- Collaborate with the EGTC Career Services Department to establish and monitor appropriate student internship experiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Instructional Dean or his/her designee.
Skill Requirements:
Ability to collaborate with other departments to address the learning needs of students from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and academic backgrounds.- Ability to arrive to work on time, to teach all classes as scheduled, and fulfill all essential functions required of the nurse assisting instructor.
- Ability to coordinate instructional activities and to manage classroom discipline in the classroom, lab and clinical practice settings.

Credential Requirements:
Career & Technical Ed Authorization- Teacher: Initial Teacher License
- Teacher: Professional Teacher License
- Must possess or have the ability to acquire a full-time, postsecondary Career and Technical Education Credential
- Must be have an active and unencumbered certificate as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) or license as a pharmacist
Education Requirements:
