RESPONSIBILITIES
- GATHERS INFORMATION THROUGH PERSONAL OBSERVATION, RESEARCH, INTERVIEWS AND/OR OTHER MEANS AND ORGANIZES IT FOR USE IN VARIOUS COMMUNICATIONS VEHICLES.
- RESEARCHES AND WRITES NEWS AND FEATURE STORIES FOR CAMPUS PUBLICATION AND THE ELECTRONIC AND PRINT MEDIA AND FOR DISSEMINATION TO SELECT CONSTITUENTS, EMPLOYEES, AND THE PUBLIC.
- DEVELOPS AND MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH NEWS MEDIA, ORGANIZATIONS, UNIVERSITY FACULTY, DEANS, AND ADMINISTRATORS. FACILITATES AND PROMOTES THE DISSEMINATION OF NEWS AND PUBLICITY FOR THE UNIVERSITY.
- EXAMINES PROPOSALS AND SELECTS MATERIAL FOR PUBLICATION. EDITS AND REWRITES EXISTING COPY FOR CAMPUS PUBLICATIONS AND NEWSLETTERS AND SUBMITS FOR APPROVAL.
- PREPARES AND WRITES TEXT AND OVERSEES WEB CONTENT AND SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT AS APPLICABLE.
- ASSISTS WITH LAYOUT AND DESIGN OF VARIOUS REPORTS, TO INCLUDE PUBLICATIONS AS APPLICABLE FOR HOSPITALS OR OTHER AREAS. MAINTAINS PHOTOGRAPHS, ARCHIVES, RECORDS, AND DATABASES.
