We are seeking a highly motivated digital Editor to head up a specialty brand for a clinician audience. This person will be responsible for leading and shaping the brand’s online presence and creating content in the form of articles, videos, podcasts, and more.

Duties include conducting video interviews with leading physicians, writing and editing compelling digital content for the physician audience, maintaining a robust social media presence, and also assisting with executing special projects. The candidate will also be expected to edit videos and write various types of articles in a deadline-driven environment.

The highly organized, innovative, reliable, and driven Editor will also be expected to work cross-departmentally with Marketing, Sales, Graphic Design, and Project Management, as well as execute content-related strategies developed by the digital team.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling digital content for a physician audience across multimedia platforms for daily posting via a content management system with SEO best practices in place;
• Schedule and conduct video interviews with top physicians;
• Edit compelling video content of physician-based interviews using iMovie;
• Record, edit, and produce podcasts;
• Travel to medical meetings (when safe to do so);
• Manage social media platforms and brainstorm innovative strategies to drive website traffic and boost user engagement through social networks;

Qualifications:

• Minimum of BA/BS or equivalent editing/journalism experience
• 2+ years writing/publishing experience, preferably health care-related
• Ability to write clearly and accurately about complex topics
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong typing and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment, meeting tight deadlines and high expectations
• Familiarity with medical/oncology terminology, AMA style and search engine optimization techniques a plus
