The EDI Analyst/Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating with customers, insurance carriers and trading partners to manage all aspects of the EDI file exchange implementation process. Beginning with the collection of requirements, identification of carrier/partner file specifications and mapping of the data from the Plansource Benefit Administration platform.

The EDI Analyst/Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating with customers, insurance carriers and trading partners to manage all aspects of the EDI file exchange implementation process. Beginning with the collection of requirements, identification of carrier/partner file specifications and mapping of the data from the Plansource Benefit Administration platform.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
- Identify and define insurance carrier or trading partner accepted EDI file specifications and formats
- Mapping data imports and exports to specified Flat file, CSV, Fixed Width formats and 834 EDI transaction sets (ANSI X12 834)
- Create new data maps and support a variety of existing data maps and EDI transaction sets
- Ability to efficiently manipulate data within Microsoft Excel or Access in preparation for system imports
- Manage multiple EDI Implementations taking full responsibilities for maintaining timelines and communication with clients, vendors and partners
- Conduct transactional and system analysis to troubleshoot and resolve EDI discrepancy reports
- File encryption and submission via FTP/SFTP client software
Position Requirements and Experience:
- 2 year degree in Computer Science or Database Administration preferred
- 1+ years’ experience in data mapping, testing and implementing EDI account setups to/from XML, Flat, CSV, Fixed
- Width file mapping and 834 EDI transaction sets (ANSI X12 834)
- Familiarity with Plansource Benefit Administration platform is a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, & Outlook)
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision
- Experiencing troubleshooting problems using root cause analysis to achieve resolution or alternatives
- Strong customer service skills necessary to manage customer expectations and relationships
- Experience in Employee Benefits or Human Resources is a plus
