Job Description

Position Summary:

The position serves as a knowledgeable resource in driving and deploying clinical process models and other analytics. This important role works closely with the Vice President, Clinical Systems in system-wide efforts of creating and managing the clinical and quality infrastructure necessary to move new related projects forward, as well as maintain and update existing initiatives.

Priority setting of staff, direct evaluations, mentorship and on boarding of new employees. Initiatives include establishing optimal process (including research of evidence-based and best practice standards), documentation in terms of tracking and updating systems as well as developing, tracking and coordination input needed for development and implementation of programs and products.

The position requires a strong combination of skills including industry trend knowledge, communications, analytical and clinical expertise. Is knowledgeable about and employs data to continuously improve the reliability and validity of clinical data used within but not limited to the EHR. Utilize data to drive outstanding performance on key, nationally standardized metrics of quality and cost.

Essential Job functions:

* Manages a team of Clinical system analysts and informatics specialists to optimize, standardize and reduce variation in workflow throughout the organization and maximize the use of the electronic health record and other information systems as they get implemented in the environment.

* The CI Manager will need to configure, maintain and enhance the Electronic Health Record. Experiencing configuration and build of flow sheets, templates and forms in Electronic Health Records

* Manage and allocate resources for project requests and service desk ticket requests ensuring high customer satisfaction and efficient use of the systems. Turnaround time and end user satisfaction from requests will be key success metrics. Responsible for collaborating on a regular basis with end users to understand current state workflow, interpret the best method to optimize and code the necessary tables and files to meet the objective.

* Communicates with management regarding concerns and issues surrounding the use of the EMR that effect Meaningful Use, HIPAA, or other compliance or governmental incentive programs

* Build and maintain strong relationships with Physicians and staff in their use of the EHR, implement advance workflows to optimal efficiency. Strong Interpersonal skills and relationship building with physicians and staff are critical in the change management process

* Ability to identify and troubleshoot potential issues and participate in their resolution with highest customer satisfaction.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the group growth and expansion including on call hours.

* Translating medical practice information between providers, nurses, medical staff and systems engineers, analysts, or designers using object-oriented models or other techniques

* Provide assistance and guidance to the team for developing strategies, policies or procedures for introducing, evaluating or modifying information technology applied to nursing and medical practice, medical practice administration or education

* Coordinating with Clinical and Operations management to identify goals and scope of clinical projects. General Job functions:

* Knowledge and experience with clinical process improvement.

* Support the organizations efforts to meet MIPS, Quality metrics and other Quality Improvement/Population Health Program goals designed to improve care delivery in an ambulatory practice setting

* Organize, prioritize and assign work to the appropriate team members

* Provide guidance and mentorship to clinical informatics/analyst teams

* Strong analytical and communication skills

* Read current literature, talk with colleagues, and participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in the health care industry.

* Determines impact of new initiatives and ensures alignment with the organizational long-term strategic direction and objectives.

* Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned. Travel:

· May need to travel to any SMG location in support of clinical systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
