Job Description

The ECE Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing the developmental program goals of the center using a team approach, supervising the activities of infant / toddler children and maintaining strong professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Duties include:

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental play-based emergent curriculum
  • Supervise and provide guidance to children during daily activities
  • Work well within a teaching team
  • Build positive, professional relationships with families
  • Attend and participate in regular meetings, professional development, and conferences

Qualifications:

  • 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education - may also consider 12 units and enrolled based on experience
  • Infant Development course required for Infant/Toddler positions
  • AA or BA degree preferred
  • Valid Child Development Permit
  • Pediatric First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Direct teaching experience with young children in a child care center setting
