Position Overview:
The Engineering and Technology Development Program- Embedded Systems and Software tracks offer program participants the ability to work on challenging assignments with Eaton’s Electrical, Industrial and Corporate sectors. This rotational program will provide exposure to multiple Embedded Systems or Software roles in the U.S. Program participants will also gain cross-functional exposure and develop critical leadership skills for the future.
Software engineers will focus on a multitude of opportunities but the core technical skills and projects are in:
Human centered design Web Application Development Big data engineering Software quality and architecture Web services Mobile app development Frontend/backend software UI/UX SCRUM IoT/Cloud/App development Full stack software engineeringEmbedded software engineers will focus on a multitude of opportunities but the core technical skills and projects are in:
- I/O Device Drivers
- Multi-core processor experience
- Firmware
- Memory management
- Functional safety
- Embedded Linus
- Bootloader
- Realtime operating systems
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):
- Currently possesses, or will have obtained a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering with a graduation date no later than June 2022.
- Minimum of one internship or co-op experience completed at the time of this application.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
- Geographical flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the Development Program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community.
- 2 or more relevant Internships or Co-op experiences.
Position Criteria:
- Ability to relocate to Raleigh, NC, Pittsburgh, PA, Syracuse, NY, Plymouth, MN, Rockville, MD, Peachtree City, GA, Milwaukee, WI, Galesburg, MI or other possible locations.
Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $125,000/year. This salary may be subject to adjustment based on location and cost of living adjustment.
