Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Job Summary: Our Early Learning Assistant works with preschool and elementary children in developing basic pre-reading and number skills utilizing Kumon worksheets and supplemental materials according to the Kumon method.

Responsibilities:

• Grading students' class work and homework
• Organizing students’ work by date
• Observing students and administering worksheets according to the Kumon Method
• Reading aloud with reading students and counting with math students
• Working in a friendly, team environment to help make class a success
• Various administrative duties
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Love working with children
• Basic math and language arts proficiency
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and take directions
• Ability to work with two to three students at the same time

Hours: Looking for candidates who would be able to work both class days:

Mondays 2:30 - 7:00pm, Thursdays 2:30 - 7:00pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
