As a Dry Etch Technology Development Engineer at MTC (Mask Technology Center), Micron Technology, Inc., you are responsible to develop and implement advanced mask plasma etch technologies in order to meet Micron’s technology roadmap requirements on time. You will also work with other sustaining and equipment support engineers to continue improve our current mask etching equipment and process capability and efficiency.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide guidance to management team on mask dry etch technology roadmap- Develop and implement advanced mask dry etch technology and processes including EUV mask manufacturing
- Provide fundamental understandings of process and tool capabilities and issues
- Monitor and align equipment suppliers’ roadmap to Micron technology requirements
- Develop and implement robust etch system monitoring/control technologies, chamber-to-chamber matching mechanisms for consistent CD and defect performance
- Be able to work independently or as a team member to generate new ideas, processes, and methodologies
- Initiate and implement new or optimized processes in a timely manner with the goal of improving mask manufacturing yield and efficiency
- Provide guidance on root cause of and methods to resolve etch quality deviations (defects, CD targeting, CD and etch depth uniformity, and pattern resolution)
- Collaborate with other area process development engineers to improve overall mask capability
- Mentor and train other engineers and manufacturing personnel
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in plasma dry etch process research and development- Good understanding and ability to explain process mechanisms
- Extensive mechanical hands on experience
- Ability to work with minimal guidance
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and document the experimental results
- Self-motivated with strong problem solving and analytical skills
Education Requirements:
- M.S. or higher degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or Engineering Discipline
