Driver CDL Class B With Hazmat

Simoniz Drivers are required to provide an excellent level of customer service and are expected to accommodate customer delivery requests. This position requires frequent interaction with customers and includes speaking directly with customers and their personnel.

• 
  CDL Class B license
• Currently hold Hazmat endorsement
• Possess a safe driving record along with experience operating commercial motor vehicles
• Maintain license and medical card requirements of DOT
• Understand and comply with all DOT rules and regulations involving commercial motor vehicle operators
• Ability to handle difficult customer situations and respond to requests for service
• Ability to read Bills of Lading with delivery instructions
• Make deliveries in a timely manner and inform manager in changes of delivery schedule
• Use GPS and Cell Phone
• other duties as assigned

• Possess a valid Class B CDL with HazMat certification and have a good driving record
• Ability to work effectively and get along with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or job type and with a wide variety of personalities in groups and individually
• Complete required safety training, perform tasks in a safe manner, follow safety policies
• Wear specified personal protective equipment which may include steel/composite toe work boots, safety glasses , protective gloves, etc., as required
• Maintain license and medical card requirements of DOT
• Solid knowledge of HazMat and other DOT placard requirements
• Excellent customer service skills to speak with customers, in English
• Handle difficult or emotional customer situations and respond to requests for service
• Must be able to read in English, bills of lading with delivery instructions
• Ability to write short notes or comments on bills of lading or to Manager, in English
• Must possess basic math skills o add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Must possess strong organizational skills to prioritize work and delivery schedule
• Make deliveries in a timely manner and inform manager of changes in delivery schedule
• Ability to solve practical problems such as routing issues and deal with a variety of changing situations
• Follow driver dress code

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Push or pull up to 100 pounds frequently
• Must be able to sit for long periods while driving
• Vision requirements include abilities to judge closeness and distance, depth and periphery

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Spend long hours inside a truck
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particle
• Exposure to wet or humid conditions and possible extreme heat or cold, in outside weather
• Delivery area may be close to moving machinery or equipment
