Draftsperson

KEISER CORPORATION, a leading manufacturer of exercise equipment, is looking for an experienced and skilled Draftsperson to join our team. Responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements and setting up production methods. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

• Design, develop, and maintain top assembly drawings detailing all components of the equipment for use by manufacturing, service, and customers.
• Design and develop package labels, tags, and decals.
• Bills of materials creation and modification, both in SolidWorks and MRP system
• Develop 3d models from 2d sketches in SolidWorks
• Create exploded drawings of equipment detailing individual parts.
• Maintain Assembly drawings for the service department
• Other duties as assigned

• PC & Windows Capable
• Spreadsheet Software (Excel, or Libre Office)
• Ability to convey complex instructions graphically.
• Ability to provide documentation, detailed instruction, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
• SolidWorks modeling and drafting experience is a plus
• Hands on mechanical skills are highly valued
• Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and work in a team environment

SCHEDULE

• 8-hour day shift, typically 7a-4pm with a one-hour lunch
• Monday through Friday, no weekends

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Fast paced environment with others relying on completion of tasks
• Office environment with manufacturing plant attached
• Dress code is business casual, safety shoes requested while on the manufacturing floor

COMPENSATION

• Based on experience: $16-$20 per hour

COVID-19 Considerations:

Wearing masks while in the warehouse is mandatory with the exception of scheduled breaks/meals. We have a designated person to sanitize frequently-touched areas multiple times throughout the day, hand sanitizer throughout the facility for employee use, and enforced social distancing requirements for all departments.
