Donor and Church Engagement Representative

Hours: 3 Month Temporary Part-time ( 10 hours/week)

The Donor and Church Engagement Representative is primarily responsible for cultivating and nurturing new and existing donor relationships; planning and implementing fundraising events; and developing and maintaining a church engagement program.
This individual will cultivate relationships with a designated group of assigned churches resulting in enhanced family and program recruitment and partnerships. They will also execute a defined communication plan under the leadership of the Director of Donor Relations and in partnership with the local Branch Director. The primary goal is one of establishing and developing productive relationships in geographic areas represented on assigned donor lists.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Successfully identify and develop positive and engaging church partners;
- Partner with assigned branches to identify and build church relationships to increase the
- Maintain Digitals Assets church folder with useful resources;
- Create master lists of existing and prospect churches in each branch area;
- Reach targeted monthly, quarterly, and annual recruitment goals;
- Partner with local branch staff members to care well for donors identified in the geographical
- Provide consultation and direction to branch staff for specific church relationships when
- Attend and provide insight in various meetings with Donor Engagement team to ensure
- Maintain regular and accurate donor communication, information, and revenue reporting in
- Effectively network to find new donor relationships with individuals, churches, and
- Collaborate with the Branch Director to ensure the annual contribution goal is achieved;
- Implement a communication plan for the branch’s donor list;
- Coordinate Fundraising events to include creating and leading the Fundraising Committee,
associated with the auction, manage registration and online giving campaign, serve as lead
for volunteers and staff during events, and maintain the record of event donations in DMS;
- Provide support to regional branches for Regional Donor events and activities;
- Actively stay abreast of Bethany program activities in relation to donor interests to provide
experts, when required;
- Represent Bethany, and its core values, in all forms of communication;
- Work closely with the branch and marketing department to provide updated resources;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s level degree from an accredited college or combination of education, experience,
• At least two (2) years of experience in an advancement, fundraising, or donor engagement capacity;
- Demonstrated ability with establishing relationships both in person and on the phone;
- Demonstrated ability to stay focused and committed while cultivating ‘slow to develop’
- Ability to leverage knowledge of various philanthropic cultures;
- Must possess strong multi-tasking and project management skills;
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, setting own daily agenda of planned
- Must be willing to travel frequently for meetings with local donors/churches, as well as
- Must be able to provide professional and superior client service;
- Possess an understanding of, and strong commitment to, Bethany’s values and unique
- Must have a high level of personal and professional integrity, including the ability to maintain
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Outlook 365;
- Have an ability to be a contributing member to the Donor Engagement department and the
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player;
- Experience in child/family welfare agency, a plus;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
