The Retail Associate role is essential for the success of our retail store operation. Our retail operation is an important part of who we are and what we do. It fuels our good work in central and southern Indiana, generating revenue for critical services while providing jobs opportunities to many of who face limited options. Hours of Operation
8:00am to 10:00pm Monday thru Saturday
10:00am to 8:00pm Sunday
Responsibilities
The Retail Associate may function in various capacities within the retail location. Some of those job functions include:
- Cashier
- Textile Producer
- Wares Producer
- Donation Door Attendant
- eCommerce Producer
- e-Books Producer
- Rack Runner and Cart Runner
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Military experience highly preferred
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Team player, solid work ethic and adherence to procedures and protocol, including maintaining confidentiality in passwords, logging on and off procedures, and adherence to the Goodwill’s principles.
- Strong attention to detail and quality of work, including safety awareness.
- Good time-management skills.
- Must be able to bend, stand, stretch, grip, type and carry for long periods of time.
- Some positions will require carrying items in excess of 10 pounds and up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to view a computer screen regularly.
- Effective to superior reading, writing and math skills relative to the role assigned.
- Familiarity with computers and relevant software including basic computer and Internet navigation skills.
