Bather Job Description

Hours: Thursday-Sunday 9:30am to 6:30pm

Wage: $16/hour

Immediate Responsibilities

• Bathe dogs, including a proper brush out, wiping eyes, cleaning ears, drying etc.
• Trim nails, using clippers and Dremmel, as appropriate
• Provide other grooming services (e.g., teeth brushing, anal gland expression, etc.)
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized bathing area
• Ensure supplies are in stock and up to par (e.g., shampoo, brushes, chamois, doggie cologne, etc.)
• Tidy up and restock for following day at end of shift
• Using software to make reservations, collect pay.etc.
• Assist with other kennel-related services as needed (e.g.,…)

Future Responsibilities * Assist customers using DIY Dog Bathing service (e.g., checking in/out, providing supplies, mixing special shampoos, getting dogs in/out of tubs, taking payment, etc.
Required Qualifications * Strong work ethic

• Ability to produce quality work in an efficient and timely manor
• Very detail focused and thorough in work
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet and active for duration of shift
• Enjoys change
• Highly reliable
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications * Canine bather professional experience

• Knowledge of giving basic bath
• Experience with canine nail trims using clippers and Dremmel
• Knowledge of basic supplies and when to use (e.g., certain brushes, shampoo/conditioners, etc.)
