Vector Security is seeking a Project Manager to assist the sales reps with design and equipment selection, as well as pricing and preparing project bid submittals for commercial jobs. You will work closely with the installation department to schedule jobs, monitor the status of jobs, oversee quality control, training, and work with inventory to ensure purchasing of proper equipment. This position will act as a liaison between sales, installation, subcontractors, as well as oversee maintenance, service, and inspection for customers. This position will manage all commercial jobs across the south district branch locations.
Location: Raleigh, NC and will require approx. 50% travel to branches within district as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure delivery of professional and efficient installation services for our customers.
- Provide technical support to both internal and external customers.
- Assist with planning and performing regular and comprehensive training programs.
- Perform regular job site visits to ensure quality, safety, and customer requirements are being met.
- Attend construction project job meetings for larger projects.
- Assist and support the Sales Department with system design.
- Identify potential issues that could impact project profit margins including labor overages, wire, and hardware usage, lift rental, etc.
- Ensure proper care and tracking of inventory in technician vehicles and warehouses.
- Ensure technicians are adhering to all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and technicians from other offices on projects that they are involved in. This may include training, scheduling, and technical support.
- Assist with programming and commissioning of complex or large systems.
- Exhibit leadership and provide mentoring to the Installation Team.
- Maintain all Project schedules
- Maintain on-going relationships with contractor and other related parties
- Review all request for change orders and assist sales department with such requests.
- Coordinate for punch list inspection and follow up to assure punch list is timely completed and notifications are processed.
Required Education/Experience
- High School, equivalent or above
- NICET I
Preferred Experience:
- Alarm, low voltage experience
- CVAC Installation experience
- Team management or supervision
- Permitting and Inspection process
- NICET II or III
