Primary Function:

The primary function of this position is to coordinate and execute planning activities for International and Domestic markets. This position is responsible for supporting Instruments and Accessories shipments and replenishments to ensure customer orders are shipped on time. The ultimate goal is to ensure Instruments and Accessories are positioned to support demand at all times, while avoiding excess inventory, international compliance impact, and delays for our internal and external customers. The position is responsible for executing quarterly forecast while maintaining close contact with the different point of contacts at our distribution centers around the world.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Performs planning activities in systems like SAP, O9 and Agile
  • Ability to analyze global inventory levels and allocate appropriate inventory to different locations.
  • Identify, document and implement planning processes aimed at achieving and maintaining operational excellence.
  • Provides planning functions for Instruments and Accessories, End of Life, Excess & Obsolescence, and Field Actions.
  • Create and maintain process for reporting planning metrics and analysis
  • Maintains and communicates project status updates, KPI’s, and material availability escalations
  • Actively participates in various staff and core team meetings to communicate project updates
  • Collaborate with the Master Scheduling team on I&A Forecasting activities
  • Prepares information for recurring business review meetings with senior management
  • Perform other projects or duties that may be assigned
  • Collaborate with the Logistics team to improve transportation cost and service levels
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of current systems and processes

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Minimum BS degree, or minimum 5+ years of work experience on planning functions
  • Highly proficient in MS Office products and ERP systems, preferably SAP and Agile.
  • Detailed understanding of material planning, factory scheduling and supply planning.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects successfully
  • Ability to make effective presentations to peers and managers
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data for reports and apply mathematic techniques in practical situations
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships at various levels and to resolve complaints
  • Able to work independently in a fast paced environment with little to no supervision
  • Must be innovative, detail-oriented, experienced in highly visible/dynamic projects
  • Capable of managing multiple, high-priority assignments and meet firm deadlines
