Our Distribution Center team provides support to our NYC store locations through daily deliveries of products and overall inventory management. This role is located in Long Island City, New York and will require occasional travel to Gorillas’ store locations throughout New York.

This role will lead as the source of knowledge for inventory management and inbound orders. The Distribution Center Manager will oversee all supply chain internal distribution.

As the Gorillas Distribution Center Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing a team of supervisors and associates at the Distribution Center.
• Ensuring all Gorillas’ Quality Assurance guidelines are consistently followed and maintained to the highest standards.
• Verifying compliance with Gorillas’ Sanitation Program which includes routine cleaning procedures.
• Managing all inventory from a quantity and quality perspective including, but not limited to: product rotation, expiration date management, inbound and outbound order picking and product slotting.
• Managing all KPI’s and Budget associated with the Distribution Center.
• Serving as safety champion for all Distribution Center staff.

Requirements

• 5 years plus experience in central warehouse management.
• Proven track record in quality assurance at a central warehouse.
• Experience in a tri-temp warehouse handling ambient, refrigerated and frozen products.
• Certified to operate a forklift .
• Leads by example and with a hands on mentality, to support overall goal achievement.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a consistent basis throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Open to flexible scheduling, i.e. early mornings and weekends are required.
