Job Description

Job Title: Dishwasher

JOB OBJECTIVES

Provide 100% Guest Delight by providing a clean, sanitized and visually appealing restaurant for guests

and team members. Maintain safety and sanitation standards to ensure guest and team member safety.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Treats all guests, team members and managers with dignity, respect and caring
  • Displays a helpful, friendly and approachable attitude towards guests, team members and managers
  • Consistently follows and supports Olive Garden’s systems, policies and procedures
  • Consistently arrives to work on time and ready for shift; is neat, clean and well groomed, according to Olive Garden appearance standards
  • Practices teamwork by communicating with and assisting others to ensure a great guest and team member experience
  • Adheres to and practices all food safety and sanitation standards, local (or applicable) laws and Olive Garden guidelines
  • Uses equipment and performs tasks safely as directed
  • Cleans areas of the restaurant and equipment according to Olive Garden standards as assigned by management
  • Displays a sense of urgency when performing job duties and completes daily cleaning list to meet time standards
  • Sets up, breaks down and cleans the dish machine and three compartment sink according to sanitation and Olive Garden standards
  • Sets up the dish area; sorts, rinses and washes dirty dishes, glasses, silverware and other cooking utensils
  • Sorts and stacks clean dishes and stocks them in the proper place
  • Cleans bathroom fixtures, glass and floors to standard and stocks items as needed; cleans floors in all areas of restaurant to standard
  • Maintains the parking lot, dumpster area and building exterior to standard
  • Stocks appropriate supplies throughout restaurant to assist team members in providing 100% Guest Delight
  • Assists in maintaining clean, dry kitchen floors
  • Empties trash by taking it to the dumpster to ensure a clean restaurant
  • Completes additional cleaning projects as assigned
  • Practices awareness to ensure dining items are not discarded

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Performs duties that require bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, and transporting items

(weighing up to 100 pounds)

  • Works by standing and by moving in small and crowded spaces up to 8 hours or longer if needed
