Dishwasher

Job Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleanliness, organization, and sanitization of all flatware, tableware, dishware, pots, pans, equipment, and actively performing cleaning and maintenance tasks in all areas of the kitchen in a safe manner.

Duties and Functions:

• Scrape and sort dished before loading them into dishwashing machine for cleaning.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature during sanitary wash cycle.
• Unload dishwashing machines, sort, and put away all items in proper areas.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety of all work areas and operate all machinery in safe manner.
• Sweep and scrub kitchen floors to ensure a clean work area.
• Remove garbage and discard in designated area regularly.
• Handle glassware and other fragile tableware to prevent breakage.
• Practice the safe handling, care, and storage of all tableware.
• Keep the dish room, kitchen aisle and loading dock area clean and sanitary at all times.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen areas, hallways and walk in cooler on a daily basis.
• Comply at all times with Columbia Sussex standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

Qualification Standards:

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to walk and/or stand during the entire shift.
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to work Holidays and Weekends.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include the proper uniform and nametag while working.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
